Today is September 11th. Twelve years ago today our country was forever altered by terrorist attacks and 9/11 became a day that no one will ever forget. Since then we have picked up the pieces and emerged stronger than before. September 11th, 2001 left a legacy that includes patriotism and American Pride, but also includes a hyper-awareness of terrorism. Terrorism has been added to the list of thing from which we must protect ourselves, as our brethren in Boston recently learned. But I hope our nation will spend this day remembering those who lost their lives twelve years ago, sending  well-wishes to the friends and families of those who were lost, and reflecting on everything 9/11 taught us about strength, perseverance, and community, and heroism.
